About the project

The site, shop and back-office for 'Kin Hell Fest — a Leeds-based metal music festival. Heavy on content: over 120 bands, 20+ pages, a forum, a news feed, a merch catalogue, and a stack of integrations with the platforms bands actually lived on.

What it did

Public-facing lineup, news and merch shop. Admin side covered band management, page editing, menu management, link management and a moderation surface for the forum. Bandcamp / SoundCloud / YouTube embeds were wired in so band pages pulled live media without manual copy-paste.

How it was built

Two months of work end-to-end. Yii / PHP / MySQL, Bootstrap front-end with a responsive layout from day one, plus the third-party API plumbing (Facebook, Twitter, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, YouTube) that kept the band content honest.
